| Built in 1930, per the assessor, local lore has the living room portion of the house built as long ago as 1860, as Silver City's Armory Hall. A quick internet search turns up a few interesting but vague tidbits, including the possibility that Mark Twain did a lecture speech here about the Sandwich Islands (which we now know as Hawai'i). | |
